VACUUM OXYGEN DECARBURIZATION
VD/VOD Furnace
The equipment structure of a VOD furnace is basically the same as that of a VD vacuum refining furnace. The main difference is that the VOD Refining Furnace adds an oxygen gun, its lifting system and an oxygen supply system on the upper part of the vacuum sealing cover to blow oxygen to decarbonize the liquid steel in the ladle under vacuum conditions. This vacuum oxygen decarburization method has the functions of decarburization, deoxidation, degassing, desulfurization and alloying.
